❄️ Top tips for walking in winter
Shorter walks are still walks: When it’s freezing outside, even a 10 minute trot around the block adds up.
Watch those paws: Salt and grit can irritate your dog’s paws. A quick wipe with a damp cloth after your walk can help.
Layer up if needed: Some dogs (especially short haired breeds or older pups) feel the cold too. A well fitting dog coat can make all the difference.
Be visible: It gets dark early so reflective gear for both you and your dog is a good shout.
Go slow on ice: Take your time and stick to familiar paths where you can. If it’s too slippery, consider playing indoors or in the garden instead.
